Even though the waterfall carries less water in summer than in winter, it is a delightful spot at the end of a pleasant hike in Eaton Canyon.
Suggestions:
1. No flip flops.
2. Bring a picnic. Everything tastes better after some boulder hopping.
Oh, so gorgeous. I love waterfalls, perhaps because they are such a rarity here. We do have lots of seeps in the limestone, particularly along rivers.
One would not think so, but there are quite a lot of waterfalls to be found quite near to Los Angeles. Some of them only carry water during winter or after rain storms in late autumn or early spring, but quite a few are active all year round. I assume it has something to do with the geography, as we do have quite a lot of mountains around here where small amounts of water do all year long their very best to present a lovely spectacle to the hiker.
