		<description>Sadly, Karen, this was anything but a controlled burn, it was a major disaster. If only the brush or chaparral had burned, it would have been quite okay. In this case everything is gone in those areas, with only the dead trees sticking out.

The photos are just a tiny impression - the whole picture makes you weep, it is heartbreakingly sad.

The little flower patch actually heightened the feeling of having lost something very precious and important for both humans and wildlife.</description>

		<description>Yes, it&#039;s lovely.  Sometimes, burns actually improve vegetation of a plot.  Some farmers and ranchers actually do controlled burns to revitalize their fields.</description>
